If you’re one of these people, you might want to know more about what each software can do for you.

MS Office 365

MS Office 365 is a subscription version of MS Office. Aside from the difference in the mode of purchase, MS Office 365 is cloud-based. It is compatible with hosted the Exchange Server, SharePoint, and Skype for Business Server. The subscription package may also include access to these add-ons.

When you buy the subscription, you’re eligible for any or all of the updates of the software. You don’t have to pay for them anymore and you’re always assured of using the latest version. Now, even home users can access the same features that commercial users once enjoy.

MS Office Install Version

The MS Office Install Version is the traditional software that you buy with the disc and license key. These are the traditional MS Office 2013, MS Office 2016, and the soon-to-be-released MS Office 2019. The software isn’t cloud-based, so interaction on a document across multiple users over the internet is not possible.

Also, if you want to upgrade to the newer version of the software, you’ve got to buy the entire suite all over again. You can’t just purchase the basic programs such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. One license is intended for only one user only, which is one of the advantages of Office 365. With Office 365, it’s possible to have as many users on the software as your plan allows.

Getting MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Training
