Complete Introduction To Outlook

Welcome to Microsoft office outlook 365, here we will find how to use Outlook effectively. To go through the Microsoft office outlook 365 from the very beginners to the advanced level we’re going to find out so many things that can be done with outlook basics. Not just email messaging but also organizing our Calendar meeting tasks to be followed up to send to people, and many different ways that our folders can be organized, etc. But first of all, I just want to go through together how we can have our Microsoft office outlook icon displayed on the taskbar. We don’t have to go either to the start menu.

If you don’t find it on the taskbar, it is highly possible you work within a big company and of course, you would have it, maybe already there all set up. So, we go into the quarter search, and we start typing outlook basics and as soon as you type just even a couple of letters, we get the outlook icon. Now, directly click on the icon here. The auto file could open, but then every time we have to look for it. We could simply right-click on the icon here. We could select a pin to the taskbar, see unpin from the taskbar because we have it pinned already. We would see a pin to the taskbar we would select it, and automatically it would be pinned to the Taskbar.

Explore The Menu (How to Use Outlook Basics)

We could also choose to pin to the Start Menu. We would have to go to the start menu every time and then click on the icon. It’s really a thing of our choice whichever way we prefer. Now, we covered how we can get outlook basics at hand very quickly with a simple click of the mouse. We get outlook opened, nowhere is outlook basics. And the way it looks like so, we can see that here at the very top, we have the email address of the main account holder.

The domain accounts

This email account is my business account and I have a second email as well for a second workplace. So, this is how we can organize already different email accounts. Now, I have closed them and we expand. By clicking here, we would see all the emails. But because they are private, I keep them this way and created a new email that is completely empty. We’re going to work together on it, that will avoid any confusion also at the beginning. So, we can see that we are on the email option here.

Explore The Variety Of Options

We have selected an email that is highlighted. If we click on it, the calendar is highlighted. Then we would have contacts, one thing about contacts you need to remember is that don’t keep any contact here apart from One. Now, here we would have all the tasks. If we had an emails flag, took off all the flags from mine. So, I don’t have any tasks or anything to follow up on anymore. It was an abundance of tasks because sometimes I didn’t keep them updated. Now, I had to get rid of them to keep them away. So, let’s go back into the email option here. Have a look at what it looks like. This is the ribbon all the top part here.

Within the ribbon, we have many different tabs. Now, we are in the home we can see, because it is highlighted. If we click on send, we can see that send and receive are highlighted. This is how we know in which tab we need to find. So, if we select the home, for example, we can see we have different groups, like new, Delete, respond, quick steps, more tags, etc. These are all different groups and within the groups, we have different commands. The new email is a command for new items. If we click on the drop-down arrow, we have again more different commands.

Different Types Of Commands

So, all these we can see are different commands. If we go into another tab where we can see that is so related to how we’re going to create emails etc. Reply forward, we can create team emails, we have Groups set up, we can create rules and alerts from here to filter our emails. We have the refresh button within the center received group we can send it. All we have are some emails that we didn’t send. We need to send that once. And you can see that when we, however, get a little summary saying send all mails, you always get a little summary when it’s a good option, so it’s good to have it on.

Mainly when we start from the beginning, so in the cells we see, we have these groups of send and receive. Download a server is a different thing altogether. Work offline in the preferences group folder. Of course, we can create new folders, you can search for a folder. We can create rules so that the emails go automatically in some folders that we create. Then we can also decide to see our emails either in alphabetical order, for example, by date from the newest order or the two newest, etc. Add to favorites and many more things like Archive and some folder properties we have viewed.

how to Use Outlook – View All Settings

In the view, we can choose the view settings, change the view message preview. We can have one line to three lines to go through many of these things. We can also choose the reading pane that we want on the right bottom. I have it on the right here, and we can have it off completely. So, if someone does no coding use the developer option to have handy help. You can always type in some help to look for help online.

Besides, you can get some online training tips, look at what’s new in the support tools diagnostics. We go through the steps, and then I have my little tab here. Because I use note on antivirus because not everybody will have this. We go through these tabs, ribbons, and the grooves that are the command of course. Now, the ribbon you can switch between the simplified ribbon and the classic ribbon. If we click on this little arrow here, we can see that we minimize the ribbon. We have more space below, and we can maximize it again. So, we are going to start with outlook basics ready let’s get started.
